Walter McCann (72) Chairman of Magellan Petroleum Corporation (the ultimate parent entity) since 1983. Former business school dean and head of various international academic institutions. Appointed a Director 2 September 1997.
Norbury Rogers, AO (71) Company Director and Chartered Accountant. Former Senior Partner and Managing Partner (Queensland) of an international chartered accounting firm. Senator of the University of Queensland. Appointed a Director 23 July 2003.
Ronald P. Pettirossi (66) Director of Magellan Petroleum Corporation (the ultimate parent entity) since 1997. Former audit partner of an international chartered accounting firm. Appointed a Director 16 August 2004.
Donald V. Basso (71) Director of Magellan Petroleum Corporation (the ultimate parent entity) since 2000. Geologist with over 40 years experience in the oil and gas business in the United States, Canada and the Middle East. Appointed a Director 12 July 2006.
William H. Hastings (53) Director of the Company, effective 19 December 2008. On the same date, Mr Hastings was also appointed President, CEO and Director of the parent company, Magellan Petroleum Corporation.
Senior Management
Bruce McInnes, CA, Bcom: Manager – Risk and Business Support/Company Secretary After 8 years in a chartered accountant’s office working in both audit and tax and two years working as a contract accountant principally in the mining industry, Bruce has spent the last 24 years working for Magellan in the capacities of Group Accountant and Commercial Manager ahead of his current role.
Joseph P. Morfea, AFAIM, MAICD: Finance Manager Joseph has over 30 years experience in key financial positions within the resource industry with Australian based multinational corporations and local enterprises. He joined Magellan in 1986 and has since this time been instrumental in developing and maintaining Magellan’s accounting processes and is responsible for the overall finance function.
Mervyn V. Cowie, BSc, FAusIMM: Operations & Joint Venture Manager Mervyn has over 35 years experience in petroleum and mineral exploration and production in Australia and overseas. He joined Magellan in 1994 and is responsible for operation of the Palm Valley gas field, gas marketing and the negotiation and administration of joint ventures and farmin/farmout arrangements.
