MPC has an 100% controlling interest in Nautilus which operates the East Poplar Unit and Northwest Poplar Field on 23,000 Acres. The Polar Fields currently produce oil from the Charles Formation and is prospetive in other formations including the Bakken Shale. MPC owns a 100% working interest in the Poplar Fields, aside from certain working interest owners in the Northwest Poplar fields.
Magellan operates the Palm Valley gas field in the Amadeus Basin which in calendar 2010 supplied 2.1 PJ (1.9 Bcf) of natural gas to markets in the Northern Territory, principally to Alice Springs.
Magellan has interests in 17 exploration and development licenses in the onshore portion of the Weald and Wessex Basins, in southern England in the United Kingdom
