PORTLAND, Me., February 10, 2010 -- Magellan Petroleum Corporation (NASDAQ: MPET) (ASX: MGN) (the “Company” or “Magellan”) announced the appointment of William E. Begley, Jr. as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer. Daniel J. Samela has resigned as CFO, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer, but will remain with the Company and continue to serve as Vice President – New Ventures.
Magellan Petroleum Corporation Announces Second Quarter Results

Portland, Maine, February 8, 2010 -- Magellan Petroleum Corporation (NASDAQ: MPET) (ASX: MGN) reported consolidated net income of $1.6 million ($.03 per share) on gross revenues of $9.7 million for its fiscal second quarter ended December 31, 2009, as compared to a net loss of $525,000 (($.01) per share) on revenues of $5.2 million in last year’s second quarter. Working capital was $52.6 million at December 31, 2009, an increase of $21.2 million over the same period last year.

Portland, Maine, December 29, 2009 -- Magellan Petroleum Corporation (NASDAQ: MPET) (ASX: MGN) Magellan continues to sell natural gas volumes to Power and Water Corporation (PWC) under the “reasonable endeavors” provision of the higher-priced Mereenie Sales Agreement 4 (MSA4).
